A Guitarist in Chicago
Greetings and Welcome!
I am a guitarist based in Chicago. I work primarily as a solo guitarist providing instrumental background music for parties and events of all kinds and increasingly in concert settings. I have performed everywhere from City Winery to the Palmer House Hotel to the Montrose Saloon to all sorts of backyards, event spaces and beaches.
I play a unique repertoire of music from the solo guitar traditions of Latin America. I learned this music from a decade-long apprenticeship with Chilean guitar master Alfonso Chacón (1934-2011).
Anytime I play you'll be hearing a mix of music from Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Chile and Puerto Rico. From rootsy and tropical cocktail party music to elegant romantic ambience.
