I am currently accepting students for guitar instruction, including absolute beginners. I can teach the following styles:
• classical technique on nylon string acoustic to play Latin American folk, pop and classical styles
• fingerpicking on steel-string acoustic for Americana Travis/country/folk and country-blues styles
• flatpicking for electric/acoustic guitar to
play rocknroll/blues/country, funk/disco, reggae/ska/dancehall
I’m interested in a broad range of music, and I hope you are too! Basically, I want you to play the music you want to play very well.
My rates are $35/hour for individuals. One hour per week or every other week, as you like.
Another, more effecient and cost effective way, especially for beginners, is to take lessons with a friend at your same level. For two people I would charge $18 per hour each. For three I would charge $15 per hour each. Three at a time is my limit, but if you have two friends that are interested in practicing together, this is a great way to learn!
Introductory meetings, of course, are free. I can travel to your home, or you to mine, as you like.
